Al Jaroof
Near Wadi al-Seder, one of the Fujairah Valleys, the area of Al Jaroof, which is inhabited by a number of residents with their old and modern homes, are embraced by mountains adjacent to very beautiful areas.
68 km from Fujairah emirate, and on the road passing through Masafi and Dibba Fujairah, this picturesque green oasis sits in the area of letters amid the foothills of the green hills and mountain peaks in a charming view.
The village is famous for the existence of a number of remnants of the old houses where its inhabitants lived in the ancient tribes, which are tribes of saridat, relative to the Saridi, and the Tribes of Yamaha, relative to Al-Yamahi, two tribes with authentic Arab roots that formed a quiet society living on simplicity, goodness, love, and customs.
The cliffs are full of green farms where the annual rains on the area and the presence of valleys, ponds and fresh ground wells played a big role in their greenery and the fertility of their land.
In their old lives, the people of Al Jaroof relied mainly on raising livestock, collecting wild bees from mountain caves, and cultivating many vegetables and fruits.
Many plants and trees, including palms, mangoes and lemons, as well as pipe, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, corn, barley and wheat grains, abound in the region.
There are also many wild plants in Al Jaroof area that are used by many people in the region and nearby areas in the treatment of many diseases, the most important of which are the plants of arjun, zubaydah, haramal, cedar trees and deer.
