Discover Fujairah: Al Ruweida
Located 76 kilometers northwest of Fujairah, the village of Ruweida is famous for its high mountain remains and a number of remnants of the houses in which the ancient inhabitants lived, namely the Yamamah tribes relative to Al-Yamahi and a number of other tribes with authentic Arabic roots. Location: Al Ruweida
The village of Ruweida is characterized by an area filled with valleys, which is one of the most fertile valleys in the emirate of Fujairah and where water is abundant, that contributed to the cultivation of many crops.
In their old life, the people of Ruweida relied mainly on raising livestock, cows, and collecting honey from mountain caves in addition to agriculture. People in the region and its surrounding areas have also relied on agricultural crops, honey, and firewood to trade through commercial trips to Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah markets.
