Al Ain

Birthplace to HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Al Ain blossoms proudly as the Garden City of the Gulf surrounded by red sand dunes and overlooked by an impressive mountain range.

The first thing that you notice on arrival is the abundance of colour, as trees and flowers flourish. There are numerous landscaped parks, covering 10,000 hectares in total; of particular interest to visitors are the central gardens, located just west of the Clock Tower roundabout in the town centre.

Set within the gardens are some fascinating fountains and a large child’s play area. Visit Al Ain Zoo, famous for its research facilities, in particular the ongoing breeding program for endangered native animals.

We love to hear if you have a favourite local spot you’d like to share with our readers write in or email us.
