The mosque is located off the Khorfakkan-Dibba road, near the coastal village of Al Bidyah. Studies have proven that the mosque was built around 1446, making it one of the oldest standing mosque in the U.A.E.
Women as well as men can visit the mosque but Al Bidyah Mosque is still an active place of worship and although visitors are welcomed to the religious site, women are advised to take a scarf to cover the head and shoulders when viewing the building.
Take some time to see the castle above the mosque. This is also an important archaeological site in the UAE.
