The emblem of the UAE was officially adopted in 1973, and modified in 2008.

The emblem now features a golden falcon, with a disk in the centre with the flag colours, and bordered by seven stars representing the seven emirates of the federation. The falcon has seven tail feathers and holds in its talons a red parchment with the name of the federation in Arabic.
