Wadi Ham through the mountains from east to west and is still impressive.
Various archeological digs have taken place over the recent years, with perhaps the most significant site being the Long Chambered Tomb or the T-shaped Tomb, which was excavated in 1988 and is thought to have been a communal burial site.
Its main period of use is dated between 1350BC and 300BC, although the tomb itself is older. Fujairah Museum has a detailed display of the tomb, and is worth visiting since the site itself is fenced off and covered to protect against the elements.
