Artifacts dating from the early Bronze Age (c.3000 BC to 1300 BC). were unearthed during an archaeological dig at Qidfa. Some pieces of pottery have not yet been definitely identified, but may date back to the local Iron Age (1300 BC – 300 BC), Qidfa is a few kilometres past Fujairah Port.
