Discover Fujairah: Al Bithnah Fort
Al Bithnah Fort is the second largest and most famous fort in Fujairah for its long history of wars and battles that took place in the region in the end of the 18th century and early 19th century.
The Fort is located in the village of Al Bithnah, 13 kilometers west of the city of Fujairah between a mountain range on both sides of Haam Valley and overlooking agricultural green oasis.
Al Bithnah Fort played a major role in repelling the invasions of enemies and protect the city of Fujairah and its people from a lot of the attackers and invaders. Built in the era of Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Sharqi in 1735.
