Criss-crossed with many wadis, this area was previously home to several excellent off0routes. The construction of several new roads and quarrying has cut through some parts of it, but this is still a good place to explore your own routes south and west of the E88 Sharjah-Masafi and the E89 Masafi-Fujairah roads. Some quiet wadis still remain if you look hard enough, with remote spots not often visited by people – good places for camping and gentle hikes in the low hills.
