Fujairah Heritage Village

Fujairah Heritage Vilage is a reconstruction of the traditional way of life in the UAE before cars and highrises, this place is a must-see for anyone interested in the Bedouin past. Village life is beautifully replicated through various exhibits including a majlis, raised sleeping platforms with cradles attached for the children; a traditional water well centrally located; and farming utensils demonstrating how people lived and worked.

Located near the Ruler’s palace, the village is surrounded by a tall, palm-frond fence built in the traditional style. It is also near the Ain al Madhab Gardens, also called the National Park, a mineral spa with chalet accommodation and an extensive park with a playground.

Fujairah heritage village was created by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohamed, Supreme Council member and ruler of Fujairah, 1996.
