Inter-School Virtual Art Competition – St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Fujairah
Our school initiated to conduct a Virtual Art Competition on 27th May 2021. The main aim of the contest was to encourage students to pursue their creative skills and allow them to enhance their artistic minds during this pandemic.
A total of 42 students were registered from eleven schools from all over the UAE. The registered students were divided into two categories: Category1 (Class 6 and 7) and Category 2 (Class 8 and 9). The topic given to the Category 1 was the Positive effects of online classes and the topic for category 2 was Heroes of Covid. Contestants were given two hours to complete their artwork. Teachers from the art department represented as judges and gave their valued judgment.
The awaited Award Ceremony took place on 5th June 2021. The program featured a dance performance by girls of class 11, followed by a speech delivered by our Principal, Fr. Suresh Kumar. The students as well as their school coordinators expressed gratitude for having given them a platform to boost their talents. Our Vice-Principal, Mr. Edward Maria presented the vote of thanks. The winners were able to receive their trophies which were sent to their respective schools.
