The 300-year-old Khorfakkan fortress transformed from hidden gem to tourist attraction.The Fortress is part of a heritage village nestled deep in the mountains The project is part of a wider plan to transform the area into one of the UAE’s leading tourist attractions.

Najd Al Maqsar village was reconstructed  as a part of tourism development and to preserve the archaeological sites.

The village comprises a number of old houses. Rocks engraved with drawings of camels and other animals dating back to 2,000 years BC were found in the area.

Viewpoint area was also built so the visitors can also  enjoy the view of farms lands  surrounding the Fortress area.
