Best Things to Do in Fujairah

Fujairah is distinguished with its rugged mountains, valleys, waterfalls, oases and wide sandy beaches. It has several hot, cold and mineral springs.

Because of its easterly location, Fujairah’s climate is more moderate than that of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Weekend visitors looking to escape the heat are drawn to Fujairah’s relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.

 

Fujairah Adventure Park, like other similar projects, was established by the UAE government to promote tourism in the emirate of Fujairah. The project is run by the Fujairah Adventure Centre.

Fujairah Adventure Park includes mountain bike rides, mountain bike skills training sites that match the highest international standards, and stage one includes a children’s cycling area.

Another oldest historical monument in UAE – the Fujairah Fort takes you into the past revealing the legacy of its ruling family and the city’s era being a defensive base. Perched on a hilltop surrounded by lush date gardens, this fort is a wonderful structure comprising of three major sections, one square tower, two round towers, and several halls.

One of the area’s prime attractions, the fort holds an imprint of the city’s historic significance. The nearby Heritage village gives you a glimpse through its restored houses and exhibits about the traditional lifestyle and methods of living off past Emirati inhabitants.

     

   

 

Fujairah has fascinating geographical elements with mountainous terrain and beautiful beaches that make it different from the other cities of UAE. One remarkable aspect is its picturesque hot springs set at the foot of Hajar Mountains.

The Ain Al Madhab Hot Springs is a great retreat to enjoy a refreshing soak in hot pools, quite popular among tourists and a favorite family weekend spot for the locals. The mineral springs here produce warm sulphuric water that is pumped into two swimming pools making separate bathing areas for males and females. This is an amazing natural spot to just relax among Fujairah’s natural surroundings.

 

Umbrella Beach has been designed and built with a variety of attraction and activities beyond just retail outlets, restaurants, and coffeeshops. Activities and entertainment include recreational spaces for children and adults including playgrounds, jogging trails, Paddle courts, swimming and water activities.

Through extensive development and multiple projects coming together, the UAE’s coasts are becoming major hubs of commerce, industry, and community development. While the nation’s western coast has long been the go-to destination for visitors and locals, Umbrella Beach is a must visit destination on the east coast.

 

Spectrum Hike has picturesque views with its layers of rocks, a beautiful landscape, and fresh air.Spectrum Hike is located at Wadi Ghub in Fujairah.

These scenic mountains are popular for their multi-colored rock formations throughout the valley. Also known as Rainbow Mountains.

This trail is located 7 minutes off-road drive from The Ghub Village of Fujairah.

October to March and Early hours in Summer are the best time for hiking.

The total distance for this hiking is about 6.20 KM, the time for the hiking takes about 3 hours and a half approximately.

Hiking Shoes and comfortable clothes are highly recommended.

Always carry enough water with you while hiking.

Behind the Governor’s Palace are some of the most beautiful gardens in the region. Windy paths take you past the tallest palm trees.

Its not just you that is thankful for the shade they give, the birds, chipmunks and other animals all love it there as well.
