On Tuesday, October 25th mosques across the UAE will host special prayers as a partial solar eclipse casts the moon’s shadow on Earth.
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments have announced that today mosques across the country will hold the prayers immediately after Asr.
Eclipse prayers in Islam are performed at the time of an eclipse, whether it be a solar or lunar eclipse. Known as “Kusoof”, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to offer special prayers during solar or lunar eclipses.
