Fujairah e-Government win Information Technology Award

The Fujairah e-Government announced that the Department won the Information Technology Award of the Year, presented by the Gov Tech 2023 Government Technical Innovation Award. This award specializes in appreciating the technical achievements of the government, semi-governmental and private agencies at a dazzling ceremony in Dubai.

This award crowned the department’s efforts to enhance the digital lifestyle and enable the digital future in the Emirate of Fujairah. The awards were designed to honour decision-makers in information technology and thought leaders in the government sector, who have demonstrated excellence by adopting modern technologies to transform their current operations and enhance their services.

Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director General of Fujairah e-Government, said: “This award highlights the strategic role played by the department in advancing the digital transformation of government services in the Emirate of Fujairah and enhancing the technological leadership of the department by employing data to find and develop innovative solutions and ideas that contribute to the happiness of society. And consolidating its position towards an advanced and pioneering position in this field. This award also enhances efforts to accelerate the digital transformation process in a way that achieves and supports the UAE’s competitiveness.”

Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi referred to the supervisory role played by the department in developing strategies that direct and control the government path towards the digital transformation plan for government services in Fujairah through the establishment of an integrated and effective government that uses the latest technologies to provide high-quality services and enable the electronic future in the emirate. Fujairah and supporting partners are laying the foundations for a proactive and secure digital government.
