His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), has approved the programme for Arabian Horse Shows and Auctions in the UAE for the 2024-2025 season.
The upcoming season’s programme includes a variety of local and international championships and events exclusively dedicated to Purebred Arabians. The season will commence on 21st October 2024.
The schedule features 13 championships, with 5 international events. Running until 6th April 2025, the season will also include horse auctions at various locations such as Sharjah, Ajman, and Dubai Stud.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS, expressed his gratitude for the support given by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed. He emphasized Sheikh Mansour’s dedication to preserving the Arabian horse breed and enhancing related events in the UAE. He praised His Highness’s patronage, directives, and involvement in EAHS activities, which significantly contribute to achieving the society’s goals and meeting the aspirations of Arabian horse breeders and owners in the UAE, preserving this integral part of the national heritage.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad stated, “The 2024-2025 season programme is a comprehensive agenda that offers Arabian horse breeders and owners opportunities to meet their aspirations. The EAHS prioritizes building on the success of previous seasons while maintaining and enhancing achievements to preserve this authentic legacy.”
He also confirmed ongoing efforts to develop and enhance Arabian horse shows, support local breeders and owners, and improve their capabilities to boost local breeding. He praised the efforts of the EAHS staff in this field.
The upcoming season will begin with the Emirates National Horse Show on 21st and 22nd October 2024, followed by the EAHS National Horse Show for Private Studs from 24th to 27th October.
Next, the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival – Straight Egyptian will take place on 31st October, followed by the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival – Local Breeding from 1st to 3rd November 2024. The Ajman Arabian Horse Auction will be held on 16th November.
The events will return to Abu Dhabi with the 2024 Arabian Breeders Show on 19th and 20th November, along with the Emirates Arabian Breeders Horse Show – Private Studs from 21st to 24th November.
In December 2024, the shows will move to the Eastern region, specifically Kalba, for the Sharjah – Kalba Arabian Horse Festival from 13th to 15th December. The Fujairah International Championship will follow from 20th to 22nd December 2024, and the Dubai Stud Auction will take place on 28th December.
The Ajman Horse Show will kick off 2025 from 9th to 11th January, followed by the fifth edition of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Show – Private Studs from 16th to 19th January in Al Dhafra.
The Alshiraa’a International Arabian Horse Show is scheduled from 30th January to 2nd February 2025, and the Abu Dhabi International Title Show will be held from 21st to 23rd February 2025.
The season will conclude with the 26th edition of the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival from 4th to 6th April 2025.
