The Fujairah Martial Arts Club secured first place in the Junior and Cadet categories at the UAE Taekwondo Federation Cup, which concluded today at the Sharjah Individual Games Club in Al Hazana. The team achieved an impressive record, winning a total of 30 medals, reinforcing its distinguished position in UAE Taekwondo.
On the first day of the championship, the male athletes won 15 medals, including 3 gold, 1 silver, and 11 bronze. Meanwhile, the female athletes secured 15 medals as well, with 5 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze. In addition to their medal haul, both male and female athletes delivered outstanding technical performances.
Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, emphasized the club’s strong commitment to nurturing top athletes in preparation for the Junior World Taekwondo Championship, which will be hosted in Fujairah this coming May. He highlighted that the results achieved in the current tournament reflect the athletes’ readiness and excellent preparation. He extended his congratulations to the winners and their coaches, affirming that both the results and the athletes’ advanced technical performance underscore the club’s prestigious standing in taekwondo. He also noted that the players benefited significantly from the competitive experience gained through their participation in the Arab Cup and the Fujairah International Championship, which concluded recently.
