Fujairah International Bunkering & Fuel Oil Forum 2025 kicks off
The Fujairah Department of Industry & Economy, in collaboration with the Fujairah Port Authority and supported by the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, has launched the 14th edition of the Fujairah International Bunkering & Fuel Oil Forum (FUJCON 2025). The event is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and is taking place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
This year’s forum is themed “Achieving the Maritime Vision: Sailing Towards Sustainable Fuels,” reflecting a strong focus on the future of energy in the maritime industry. FUJCON 2025 brings together leading industry figures, top decision-makers, global thought leaders, and maritime experts. Senior analysts from S&P Global Commodity Insights—renowned for their expertise in energy, commodity, and energy transition markets—will provide valuable insights into current trends shaping the global bunkering landscape.
His Excellency Eng. Saif Ghobash Al Marri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Sector at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, will represent the Ministry with an official address.
Notable speakers at the forum include Dave Ernsberger, Co-President of S&P Global Commodity Insights; Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization; and Kenneth Damm, President of Global Marine Bunkering.
Running through April 9, the first day of the forum will explore a variety of pressing topics, such as shifts in global trade patterns and their impact on bunker fuel fundamentals, risk management in bunker trading, Fujairah’s evolving role as a strategic global maritime hub, emerging global shipping trends, and how changes in petroleum product demand are influencing the local storage market.
