Fujairah Martial Arts Club secures General Excellence Shield for Third Time
In another achievement added to its list of titles, Fujairah Martial Arts Club stole the spotlight by being crowned champion of the Japanese Ambassador’s Judo Cup. The club dominated the tournament, which was held at the Federation Hall in Baniyas on Saturday, April 26th, under the patronage of the Japanese Embassy and the UAE Judo Federation.
The Fujairah athletes demonstrated their remarkable prowess by qualifying five players for the finals out of eight participants, winning two gold medals, three silver medals, and five bronze medals amid fierce competition and wide participation from the country’s top clubs.
The club didn’t stop at claiming the title; it further cemented its excellence by securing the General Excellence Shield for the sports season for the third consecutive year, having amassed 1,010 points — a comfortable lead over their closest rivals — even before the season’s official conclusion.
Nader Abu Al-Shawish, Executive Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, stated that the club’s management and members dedicate this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and President of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, expressing their deep appreciation for his unwavering support, efforts, and keen interest in the club. Abu Al-Shawish added that this accomplishment comes as part of the club’s strategy to maintain its achievements and ensure sustainable success.
For his part, Dr. Mouh Al-Mouh, Head Judo Coach at Fujairah Martial Arts Club, expressed his pride in this achievement, affirming that winning the Japanese Ambassador’s Cup and securing the General Excellence Shield for the third consecutive season is the result of collective teamwork and the relentless efforts of the players, coaching staff, and administrative team throughout the season.
With this accomplishment, Fujairah Martial Arts Club continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading judo teams in the UAE, with aspirations for even greater successes in upcoming competitions.
