“Safe Summer Without Drowning” campaign in Fujairah

Fujairah Police has launched a “Safe Summer Without Drowning” campaign last Saturday from Al-Ragailat Beach.
The campaign was aimed at seafarers on the various beaches of the emirate, resorts, hotels and farms by distributing information leaflets in different languages, including Arabic, English and Urdu, in addition to spreading awareness, educating the public and guiding beachgoers with safety standards and rules.
The Fujairah Police also appealed to members of the public and families of beachgoers for their cooperation to achieve the desired goals of the campaign. Informing the public the importance to wear a life jacket and swimming in the designated spots only as well as warning the danger of sunstroke during summer time.
The activities of the “Safe Summer Without Drowning” security campaign were launched last saturday, organized by the General Command of Fujairah Police, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department and the Youth Leadership Council, with the participation of Federal National Council member Nasser Al Yamahi, and in collaboration with partners, the Ministry of Civil Defense, Fujairah Municipality, Dibba Al-Fujairah Municipality and the Ministry of Work and Agriculture, the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Fujairah Scouts Commission and the Fujairah Youth Council, with a group of volunteers from the Emirates Volunteer Platform the summer season and frequent beach trips, and continues until the end of this month.
