Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship 2024 to begin 19th December
The Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship, the inaugural event of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, will take place at the Fujairah Fort Arena from Thursday 19th December through to Saturday 21st December.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the championship will feature over 300 Arabian horses representing stables and equestrian federations from around the globe.
A distinguished panel of Arab and international judges will oversee the competitions, which are expected to attract large audiences from the UAE and beyond.
During a press conference at Fujairah Fort on Tuesday, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of Fujairah Equestrian Championships, highlighted that months of careful preparation have ensured the event’s success. He underscored the championship’s importance in preserving equestrian traditions, a cornerstone of Arab cultural heritage, while showcasing them to a global audience.
The championship boasts a total prize pool of AED 4 million, along with the prestigious Golden Sword of Fujairah award. Additionally, one of the event sponsors will host a raffle draw, offering 20 travel tickets to Egypt for attendees.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi also revealed that this year’s competition will feature some of the most celebrated colts, including top-ranking participants from international equestrian events. This highlights Fujairah’s growing prominence as a key destination for Arabian horse breeding and competitions in the UAE and Gulf equestrian calendar.
