Fujairah Government Media Office Issues Hamad Al-Sharqi Book 2019
On April 6, WAM, the Fujairah Government’s Media Office issued the annual book “His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi 2019”, which is a comprehensive documentary reference showcasing the most prominent activities of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, throughout 2019. In which His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah participated, a number of public events concerning the citizens of the Emirate, the UAE, and his meetings with a number of sheikhs, ministers, officials, and ambassadors of a number of Arab, Foreign Countries, political, economic, religious and cultural figures, as well as his meetings at the Arab and International level, most notably the participation of His Highness headed, the State Delegation at Arab and International Summits.
Sharm El-Sheikh Summit.
His Highness participated in the Arab-European Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh and stressed in his speech distributed to the audience during the summit that the UAE today sets an example for an optimistic future based on tolerance, coexistence, and fraternity that loves life and works to sustain security, stability, progress, and development. His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah also led the Delegation of the United Arab Emirates at the Arab Summit in Tunis, for its 30th regular session and met on the sidelines of the summit His Highness Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Emir of the state of Kuwait, and reviewed with him the topics discussed on the agenda of the summit and expressed their confidence in the issuance of positive decisions and recommendations on the summit. His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, a member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, met with António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, who participated in the Arab summit.
Leaders of the homeland.
As part of the “Leaders of the Homeland” chapter, the book presents the presence of His Highness the Ruler of the UAE, His Highness the Guardians of the UAE, the Vice-Governors, The Elders and the Guests of the UAE, which was held at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Legacy of the First Two” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “May God bless him.” As part of this chapter, the book reviews the performance of his Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, along with His Highness the Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, the rulers of the UAE, the Guardians of Covenants and the Sheikhs, the funeral prayers on the body of the late Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed I Mosque in Al-Bateen area of Abu Dhabi. The chapter of “Leaders of the Homeland” also includes the receipt of condolences from His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi in the death of the late Sheikha Bint Sultan Al-Salami and the mother of his brother Sheikh Saleh bin Hamad Al-Sharqi Head of Industry and Economy in Fujairah.

The book reviews the most important words addressed by the Ruler of Fujairah, in national occasions, most notably the occasion of Martyr’s Day, where he addressed a speech, through the magazine “Shield of the Homeland” in which he stressed that “Martyr’s Day” will remain a day of pride, glorification, and veneration of the names of the eternal martyrs through time, and with their light that illuminates the righteous Emiratis the paths of glory, heroism, and will remain what they have provided in the arenas of glory and honor the basic building on which we build achievement and protect it and its successors the Union and its achievements.
Decrees and Laws.
The book monitors the most important decrees and laws issued by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi during 2019, foremost of which is the issuance of a decree to reconstitute the Board of Directors of Fujairah Foundation for the Development of Regions. His Highness also issued Law No. 2 for 2019 to form a committee for the Development of the Emirate of Fujairah.
Inspection tours.
The book reviews the visits of His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah to a number of economic and service facilities in the emirate, most notably the tour by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in Al-Dhafra region, Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority, to the silos of the Union for Grains in the Emirate of Fujairah, a Subsidiary of Al-Dhahra Holding, one of the UAE companies working in the agricultural field. Their Highness was briefed on the operational processes of silos, their storage capacity and their contribution to the establishment of a national reserve of grain for use in emergencies, and for consumers to obtain basic goods at affordable prices in a faster manner. The book documents His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah on an inspection tour of Fujairah port, to see the progress of the development operations taking place, which aims to establish a new container terminal in Fujairah port with deep berths that will allow the reception of giant ships to serve customers and partners in the Gulf, Indian Ocean, and Indian Subcontinent Markets. The book examined His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi’s inspection of the 2019 Federal National Council’s electoral process in Fujairah, the voting mechanism, and the completion of the voters’ easily procedures according to the approved process.
Public events and meetings.
The annual book of His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah’s participation in a number of public events, concerning his meeting with citizens of the Emirate, the UAE, number of Sheikhs, Ministers, Officials and Ambassadors from a number of Gulf, Arab, Islamic and foreign countries, political, economic, religious, cultural and media figures, both Arabs and International, which visited Fujairah Emirate during 2019, in addition to receiving various leaders and events from the UAE and the people of Fujairah. The launch of the book coincided with the annual video documenting these events in audio and video as well.
