Hamad Al-Sharqi, 46 years of progress, achievements, and cultural renaissance in Fujairah
On September 23, WAM, the comprehensive achievements achieved by the Emirate of Fujairah in various fields of progress and prosperity are one of the pillars of the civilized renaissance of the United Arab Emirates Union led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “God is his legacy”, followed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE “May God bless him” and his fellow members of the Supreme Council of the Rulers of the United Arab Emirates and the cohesion of the citizens with their sincere, wise and giving leadership.
46 years ago, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, a member of the Supreme Council, Governor of Fujairah, took office on September 21, 1974, during which the emirate occupied a privileged position, and marched at a steady and confident pace towards the completion of its urban, economic, tourism, social, sports and cultural renaissance, and became a destination for national and international investment, and a distinct tourist destination.
The tremendous development achieved by the Emirate of Fujairah on all economic, commercial, industrial, tourism and agricultural levels has been achieved with the help of God Almighty and the guidance and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, a member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, who worked with dedication and sincerity of all these years to promote the Emirate and employ its strategic position and natural resources to achieve its economic prosperity and raise the level of social citizens in the system of our majestic union, which has had a great impact on the great transformations that our country has undergone.
On this important occasion, H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al-Raqbani, Special Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah, said: “46 years have passed since His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, a member of the Supreme Council, took over the Ruler of Fujairah, carrying with it more giving in the service of Fujairah and the UAE, culminating in hard work, and great care to achieve achievements, meet aspirations, and draw a new road map for the emirate’s economy on a global level, the focus of the most important international cultural festivals, and an important tourist destination in the region and the world.”
He added that talking about these long and difficult years is not separate dissimilar from talking about giving, wisdom and humanitarian work and moving forward with a solid will and a tight planning to build a modern emirate in every sense of the word led by his Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi when His Highness knew early on that the race of challenges and overcoming risks needs love, will and work, and this was and today Fujairah seems a destination for investors and tourists and those wishing to spend the best of times in it.
He pointed out that the renaissance witnessed today in Fujairah in all fields, comes in implementation of a correct vision of His Highness based on the creation of a modern city in all its folds. Every year, His Highness and Fujairah are good and the future promises a lot too.
Mohammed Saeed Al-Danhani, Director of the Prince’s Court in Fujairah, confirmed that His Highness, the Ruler of Fujairah is an outstanding leader, an inspirational and influential figure in the UAE and the Emirate of Fujairah, which is full of national and international achievements.
He said the governor of Fujairah is characterized by his broad culture and vision for the future, which has contributed to further success and progress in various fields of humanity, social, economic, educational, tourism and urban.
This anniversary is an occasion to reflect on the career of His Highness’s personal leader, an exceptional leader in administration, direction and ambition, in which the hard work and dedicated efforts of the nation and wisdom were a sincere approach for His Highness, to achieve a decent life for citizens and residents of Fujairah, and to strive to develop all areas of life in it, ensuring the stability of the individual and the prosperity of society.
H.E. Mohammed Abdullah al-Salami, head of the Civil Aviation Department in Fujairah, vice chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation in the UAE, said that what has been achieved in the UAE and the Emirate of Fujairah is a true miracle that we are proud of among nations. He stressed that the achievements achieved by the UAE in the aviation sector over the past 8 decades, which culminated in a global achievement in the rise of the first Emirati astronaut on board the Soyuz MS15 to the International Space Station, and these achievements are part of the overall renaissance that would not have been achieved without the great support of our leadership.
H.E. Khalid Al Dhanani, Chairman of Fujairah Social and Cultural Association, said that caring for and nurturing young people is one of the foundations of the UAE, an approach in the guidance of the wise leadership that reflects its firm belief in their role and confidence in their abilities, and their contribution to continuing the construction process through the optimal employment of their creativity and creative ideas to bring a brighter and more prosperous future for our society, our country, and our future generations.
