Diwali 2020 will be celebrated on Saturday, November 14 this year. Diwali, also known as Indian festival of lights, celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika (between mid-October and mid-November).
It’s one of the most popular Hindu festivals that symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.
On the day of Diwali, people worship Maa Lakshmi – the goddess of wealth & prosperity. In some parts of the country, it marks the celebration of the day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after defeating the demon-king Ravana.
