Qasr Al Watan illuminated in red as the UAE Hope Probe nears Mars
Qasr Al Watan, the Palace of the Nation, will be illuminated in red until Tuesday February 9, 2021 to celebrate the UAE’s Hope Probe nearing Mars.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched the Hope Probe in November 2020, marking the Arab world’s first interplanetary mission and the first time the UAE will orbit Mars. The Hope Probe, is expected to reach Mars by February 9, 2021 and will stay in orbit for 687 days – a Martian year – to study the planet’s atmosphere.
Qasr Al Watan is open Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00AM to 6:00PM and 12:00PM to 7:30PM from Thursday to Saturday; for more information visit: www.QasrAlWatan.ae
