Rebuild a Falaj: Bring Freshwater to Al Bithnah
Work alongside the experts and restore a traditional irrigation system
ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
With your help, we can restore a falaj – a traditional irrigation system that was invented nearly 3,000 years ago!
A falaj is a series of traditional wells and canals which channel underground water towards community farms, settlements, plants, and wildlife, allowing all forms of life to thrive.
Join Emirates Nature-WWF, Fujairah Environmental Authority, Fujairah Adventure, and local communities as we renovate the historic falaj irrigation system and build open channels at Al Bithnah Village in Fujairah.
