H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Sharqi receives The President of the International Taekwondo Federation
Dr. Chung Won Shui’s visit comes on the sidelines of the 9th Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship and the Arab Cup of The Game, which will be hosted by the Emirate of Fujairah at Zayed Sports Complex until February 8, with the participation of 1,790 players from 57 countries and 215 teams from around the world..
His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah welcomed the President of the International Taekwondo Federation, praising the efforts of the Federation in caring for taekwondo sport worldwide, and stressing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Fujairah, to harness the organizational and administrative resources and support necessary to make the tournament a success and achieve its goals at the local and international level.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah stressed the readiness of the Emirate of Fujairah and its technical and logistical capabilities in ensuring successful outcomes of the championship, pointing out the importance of organizing sports events and competitions that serve taekwondo sport in particular and martial arts in general, which enhances its importance and preserves its history.
His Highness Crown Prince of Fujairah praised the level of organization of the championship in its current version, and the success it has achieved in its previous sessions, wishing His Highness success to the organizing committee of the championship represented by the Emirates Taekwondo Federation and Fujairah Martial Arts Club, achieving its goals and honorable results, confirming the position of the Emirate of Fujairah and the UAE on the map of international sports competitions.
For their part, Dr. Chung Won Shui, President of the International Taekwondo Federation, and Brigadier General Ahmed Hamdan Al Zayoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, thanked Crown Prince Fujairah for his support in organizing international sports championships on Fujairah, his constant follow-up to martial arts sports, and the appreciation of the efforts of the clubs, which is an incentive for them to participate in sports competitions..
The meeting was attended by H.E. Salem Al-Zahmi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Excellency Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zayoudi, President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation and Chairman of the High Committee organizing the championship.
