Fujairah Martial Arts Club win all the trophies
On October 22nd, Fujairah Martial Arts Club achieved a major feat in the sport of taekwondo by winning all the top trophies in the UAE-Korea Friendship Taekwondo Championship held in Sharjah under the supervision of the UAE Taekwondo Federation and the sponsorship of the Korean Embassy. The event was attended by His Excellency Yoo Jee-sung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamad Al-Zayoudi, President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, members of the federation, and His Excellency Sulaiman Al-Hajri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Individual Games Club.
The competition featured the participation of over 100 athletes from various clubs in the country. The Fujairah Martial Arts Club Taekwondo team won 29 gold medals and seven silver medals, and won first place in all four categories of the championship: youth, juniors, men, and women.
With these achievements, Fujairah has started its journey towards winning the overall championship title this season with 304 points won in a single tournament.
Nader Abu Shaweesh, the Director of Al Fujairah Martial Arts Club, stated that these results are the product of intensive training and camps held by the team, in addition to the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah and the President of the Al Fujairah Martial Arts Club. They were pleased to dedicate this achievement to His Highness for his keen interest and support for sports in general and the club in particular.
