Fujairah Adventure Center to host “Mountain Running” race
The Fujairah Adventure Center has announced the hosting of the Fujairah Mountain Running Race series on January 14th. The event will feature three different races in the areas of Al Hinya, Al Hayl, and the Fujairah Adventure Park.
Amr Zeineddin, the director of the Fujairah Adventure Center, emphasised that hosting the mountain running adventures in Fujairah adds a new dimension to this year’s schedule of events and activities organized by the center. He anticipates wide participation from runners, considering the significant interest in registration through the website.
He pointed out that the selection of race locations was based on a clear strategy highlighting the natural diversity of Fujairah. The race will commence in the desert area of Al Hinya, progressing to more challenging terrains and reaching the mountainous areas in Al Hail. The route will pass through several historical landmarks, such as mountain engravings, castles, and historical sites, in addition to valley areas, concluding at the Fujairah Adventure Park.
He affirmed that sports tourism is experiencing rapid growth in the Emirate of Fujairah, emphasising the Fujairah Adventure Center’s commitment to continuously increase the number of events and activities. The goal is to enhance Fujairah’s position as a key destination for sports tourism in the region.
