Fujairah Martial Arts Club Crowned Judo Champions for the Second Year in a Row
The UAE Judo Federation honoured Fujairah Martial Arts Club with the Excellence Shield for the current season. The club achieved a total of 710 points, securing the UAE Judo Cup, the first place trophy for the youth category, the first place trophy for the junior category, and a total of 196 medals throughout the season.
The club’s management expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah and President of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, for his significant support and commitment to sports and youth, as well as his patronage of all talent discovery and development programs.
The shield was presented on behalf of the federation by Mr. Issa bin Hwaiden, a member of the federation, who conveyed the congratulations of the UAE Judo Federation’s Board of Directors to the club’s family and various judo teams. The Excellence Shield was handed over to the club’s management, players, and coaches during a special ceremony held at the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, attended by several players’ families and journalists.
Nader Abu Shawish stated that the club has recently developed its strategies on all technical and administrative levels, adopting updated training and tactical methods, which translated into these results. Abu Shawish appreciated the efforts of the technical department in maintaining this title for the second consecutive year and thanked the technical, administrative, and medical departments, as well as the players, for this achievement.4o
